Myofascial trigger points, taut bands of contracted, stagnant muscle tissue, are the most common cause of undiagnosed and unexplained aches and pain, especially stubborn and recurrent back pain, headaches and neck pain. Many people live in a state of near spasm, where the muscles are perpetually clenched and exhausted. Not only of trigger points cause pain, they can detrimentally affect performance, where muscles will fatigue faster than they should, show restrictions in stretching to optimal length, and cane the cause of stagnating strength gains. Furthermore, there are a number of muscles that cannot be effectively stretched! They only respond to compression. This class will use high bounce balls for trigger point stimulation followed by pulsing and range of motion stretching to relive tension, restore and for most improve range of motion, and help correct muscle imbalances.
